Ministry Highlights

After about 2 weeks in Minnesota, we have now been in Los Angeles for a month after the big move back to the States. We are so thankful for our family, church community and friends as they have really helped us transition and make us feel welcome. While we still have a few items to get to make our new apartment feel like home, Tiff has enjoyed going to the local Asian markets and finding Thai ingredients for her cooking. She even found her favorite fruit – durian.

While we have been here, we’ve also been able to skype and chat with our staff and kids at Grace House each week. Being able to see and talk with our kids has definitely been a joy and helped us personally through this big change. It’s also been a comfort to know that Jesus is mighty to save and He is able to keep those that have Him as their foundation. And not only that, but that He is continuing to build and grow His church. In this we rejoice all the more!

Over the last couple of months, Grace House has undergone an expansion. The Grace House on-site managers, “UN” and Ehgay Paw (Elizabeth), have been busy making lots of improvements and expanding it for the current ministry needs. The kids too were busy helping with construction and did a great job. Below are a few photos of the building process.

The kids have also been active in the Word as we have a local pastor to come to Grace House each week to teach the bible and help meet the needs of the village.

Worship and Teaching Each Week

Ehgay Paw and some of our kids also took a recent trip into Burma. They were able to meet with many families, pray for them and encourage them in their walk with Jesus. We hope this is just a foreshadowing of what’s to come for when the kids grow older and return to their villages.

Trip into Burma: Sharing House to House

The local village school just started this week. We are now the main sponsor for helping all the village kids get a valuable education. Along with an expanded role in education, Grace House is now home to 29 kids. We had several more kids join our house this past summer as more families have been struggling in Burma and along the border. So please join us in prayer in lifting up the kids as they learn and for the many in need in our area.
