“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” – Matthew 28:19-20

The last couple of months have had several highlights. One of the biggest was for our family to travel to Thailand and surprise the kids at Grace House during the Christmas break. Since our arrival in the US back in April of 2018, we haven’t been back to Thailand. A big reason was the birth of our daughter Abby. With her over a year old, we decided it was time for a visit. And it was definitely a time filled with lasting memories and highlights. Below are some of them along with the highlights from the past couple of months.

Ministry Highlights

As mentioned previously, Christmas is a great opportunity for reaching out to the community in Thailand with the true meaning of it since they are already familiar with the holiday. This year Grace House hosted a large outreach that included the mayor also participated in a couple of other outreaches. The kids at Grace House not only were able to enjoy the fun activities but also play a central role in sharing about Jesus.

During this time, I had the honor and privilege to minister to two of the kids at Grace House and be a part of their baptism celebration.

In addition to celebrating Christmas with Grace House, we also celebrated Tiff’s birthday and New Years with them too. They were treated to one of their favorite meals, an all-you-can-eat grilled-pork dish.

In addition to our visit, Freedom Harvest has continued to be active in the community. We had the opportunity to help host a team from our friends in Georgia. They had recently been at Grace House in June and were continuing their mission by teaching at the bible school, ministering at Grace House, and putting on a village wide event near Grace House. They also did a great job with training with our staff and having deep spiritual conversations with the kids.

A couple of other highlights include evangelism near the village and a recent outreach in northern Thailand in a Long Neck Village in Chiang Rai. It is a truly wonderful occurrence to see the Long Neck Karen reaching out to their own with the precious words of salvation. Please join us in prayer for the seeds that were sown and for further opportunities to sow the gospel.

Finally, the last highlight for us was the opportunity to visit our Pa-Oh fellowship groups in Chiang Mai. It was especially sweet as we were greeted with hugs and ‘we missed you so much” by many of them. We were able to enjoy a lot of quality time catching up over a few fellowship gatherings. We were especially encouraged to see them continue in the faith and to see how active the group has been while we’ve been away.
