“In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace.” – Colossians 1:6-7
Team from Oklahoma & Grace House
A few weeks ago we were joined by Pastor Brannan and a wonderful young team from Oklahoma. The team had a very active schedule, traveling daily and reaching out to the kids of Grace House and to several of the surrounding villages and schools. The kids absolutely loved all the energy and fun the team brought, which was more than evident as they engaged the teaching, games and activities. One of the highlights was with the showing of the Jesus Film in the Long Neck village school, which even caused several of the adults to come watch. The best part was the response as about half the school followed in prayer to let God work in their lives and open them up to His calling. It was exciting to see how God used this team of servants to open up hearts and bless not only the locals but us as well.

Shan and Pa-O Ministry
Many Pa-O and Shan people have left Burma over the years in the hope of freedom, finding jobs and a better life. Because of this background, many have only received basic schooling and never learned Thai. This has led many to come to the Chiang Mai area in the search of work on farms and in construction. So with several families recently receiving Jesus, this has led our church and us to teach additional Sunday school classes in the morning for discipleship, Thai classes in the afternoon to help them integrate into Thailand, and prayer and other support to help with family issues and daily activities.

“But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.” – 1 Timothy 1:5
As we have built relationships, the Lord has continued to open new doors to other Pa-O and Shan here in northern Thailand. In recent weeks, we have made several trips to farms, villages, and inside the city to share God’s love. We are overwhelmed with joy as we continue to see fruit. On one occasion, after showing the “Jesus Film” and asking what people thought of it, one boy excitedly spoke up and said, “Jesus died for us!” There also seems to be more on the horizon as another Pa-O village asked us to come visit them after they heard testimonies of what God has done to the families here.
