“And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” – Romans 5:5
Ministry Highlights
Pa-Oh & Shan Ministry
Last month we were invited by our friend Namphon to visit a Shan family that was living in her area. While this family could communicate in Thai, their first language is Shan. As we met with them for a few hours, we had the opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus and some of our personal testimonies. As we explained more about Jesus, the husband burst out joyfully that he believed and he wanted to receive Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He said he clearly needed forgiveness and that only comes by trusting in Jesus. The wife also agreed but wanted more time as this isn’t a light decision. Still, we thank God for the seeds that were sown and the power of the gospel to save.
Sharing to a Shan Family near Chiang Mai
We also continued our bible study groups around Chiang Mai. We used the Christmas theme to teach further on grace, faith, the new birth, and the need for a savior. We also welcomed a new member to our Pa-Oh family – Daniel! This was all topped off with a special Christmas program for the Pa-Oh children from the work camp.

Children Christmas Celebration
Just last week we had the joy of seeing one of the Pa-Oh ladies we’ve been ministering to make a further commitment and be baptized. She was joined by a family at our church that we’ve helped mentor and who wanted to step out in faith too. It’s such a joy to see God grow His church.

Grace House & Mae Hong Son
It was truly a special time at Grace House last month. Christmas is such a great time to share the story of Christ, His birth and also His life, death and resurrection. And that was the purpose we had in mind as we held a Christmas party and a special birthday party for our kids. Many have never celebrated their birthday (some don’t even know when it is) and their reactions to a birthday cake alone were precious for sure. We told them the reason we celebrate their birthday, traditions aside, is that it’s a way we thank God for each one of them and that God continues to love them. So please pray with us that they truly understand God’s ongoing love for them.

We also had a big Christmas party outreach for all the villagers, including many special teachings, songs and dances. Pretty much the whole village came along with some from the surrounding area. Please pray with us that the seeds sown bear great fruit.
