Ministry Highlights

Pa-Oh & Shan Ministry

While it is difficult at times to have consistency in our groups with the Pa-Oh and Shan often moving from construction site to construction site, it does bring us into contact with many people. In addition to our regular bible studies, we helped hold a birthday celebration for one of the youngest of our group. As it turned out, it also was a great fellowship and an hour long opportunity to share the gospel with several in attendance who were new coworkers from one of the construction camps. We ask for prayers for these seeds sown as this was the first time for many of them to have heard the gospel of Jesus.

Sunday School and Fellowship

Easily one of our peak joys occurred while having a bible study with the kids in the work camps. After meeting with them several times over this past year, two kids said they wanted to follow Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Grace House & Mae Hong Son

We recently hosted a team from the World Race ministry at Grace House. A big part of their three weeks was dedicated to ministering to the kids at Grace House and help teach in the village school. They also did a great job sharing in the villages and village church.  This was our third time partnering with them and the feedback from the school and kids indicates it was another wonderful success and experience.

One of my favorite things is just spending time with our kids. Some have been here since we started the home 5 years ago. It is so great to see how much they have grown over the years. I am also very impressed with how talented they are. We recently put on a singing and drama competition, and if you have had a chance to see the videos on facebook, you know just how gifted and sweet sounding they are.

One area that I am very impressed with is in the older kids’ leadership and responsibility during nightly devotions and in church. On more than one occasion, they have led worship, taught Sunday school, and shared very encouraging words of what God has been showing them in their lives.  Please be praying for further growth and love for Jesus.
